Killing
Killing is a commonly used keyword, which has a different meaning depending on the subject that gets killed.
A creature whose attack score is lower than the opposing character's attack score, is killed.
If the killed creature is also an Enemy, usually it can be taken as a trophy.
A Follower is killed when a game effect (a card or a space text) specifically states so.
Any Followers that are killed (e.g., in the Chasm or the Vampire's Tower) or that must be discarded are placed on the Adventure Card discard pile.
A character who loses his last life is killed. If this happens during a combat with another character, the winner may take any Objects, Followers, and gold from the loser to add to his own. Any Objects, Followers, and gold not taken are left on the space.
A character might be instantly killed by certain effects, such as the Grim Reaper or the Vindication Spell. In those cases, no effect that prevents the loss of life can be used.
